Notes

Focal point information may not
completely show the correct distance. Use
the information as a guide.

Focal point information does not show the
correct distance when attaching the
conversion lens.

If you shoot a subject within 31 1/2 inches
(0.8 m) while the zoom lever is set to T
side, you cannot get a clear focus. In such
cases, the focal point information flashes.
Move the zoom lever to the W side until
the indicator stops flashing.

You cannot adjust the focus manually if
you have selected the Panfocus mode in
the PROGRAM AE function.

Using the PROGRAM
AE function

1

Set the PLAY/STILL/MOVIE
selector to MOVIE or STILL.

2

Press PROGRAM AE
repeatedly to select the
desired PROGRAM AE mode.

Aperture priority mode

repeatedly to select an aperture
value in 9 steps from F2.8 to F11.

Shutter speed priority

mode

For recording a sharp picture of a
fast-moving subject or recording
the flow of motion of a moving
subject.
Press PROGRAM AE +/–
repeatedly to select a shutter speed
in 17 steps from 8'' to 1/500 when
recording a still image, or in 11

of a bright subject in a dark place
