3-2 Using the Update Utility

Install the Update Utility on a PC with Microsoft®
Windows® 98 or greater. The PC should also have
Microsoft® Office® 2000 (or greater installed), which
includes Access database software.
1. Install the Update Utility by inserting the Update
Utility CD into the CD-ROM drive on your PC.
Follow the instructions on the screen to complete
the installation.
2. Start the Update Utility. The Main screen
appears.
At the bottom left-hand corner, there is a
status bar, which displays the Utility’s current
status.
3. Decide what you want to do next:
♦ To edit the overlay (change a key’s color or
description), see “Editing the Overlay,” for more
information.
♦ To update the keypad’s software/application, see
“Updating the Keypad,” for more information.
Status Bar
