Starting the Engine
1. Shift the transmission to neutral.
2. Lock the parking brake.
3. Turn the fuel valve on.
4. Sit on the vehicle and attach the tether strap to the ATV and to your right wrist.
NOTE:
The choke is fully on when the lever is pushed completely to the left. The choke is off when
the lever is pushed completely to the right. The choke can be adjusted gradually, depending
on how much choke is needed for starting.
5. If the engine is cold, use full choke by pushing the choke lever all the way to the left. A
warm engine will not require the use of the choke.
6. Push the engine stop switch up to the ON position.
7. Turn the ignition key to ON.
NOTE:
Do not press the throttle while starting the engine.
