UPS with Bypass Module Startup
To start up theUPS:
1 MakesuretheBypass switch on theBypass Modulerear panel is in the
NORMAL position (see Figure 5 on page 26 or Figure 6 on page 27).
2 If your Bypass Module is a hardwired unit, supply utility power.
3 If your Bypass Module is a plug/receptacle unit, plug the input power cord
into theutility input connector on theBypass Modulerear panel.
Plug the other end of the power cord into a grounded, threeĆwire, AC
receptacle that has been wired in accordance with NEC specifications or
national wiring rules. (See Figure 11 for an example.)

NOTE
Steps4 through 7 are for changing the output voltage. The output voltage is
factoryĆconfigured for 230V. If you do not need to change the output voltage, skip to
Step 8. Use the following table to select the correct output voltage according to your
