Seed Rate Speed Change
Standard Seeds Box Option
Refer to Figure 4-2 & Figure 4-3:
The Primary Seeder is designed with two drive speeds to
accommodate different seed sizes and seed dispersal
rates. The two drive speeds are high range (fast speed)
and low range (slow speed). Use seed charts beginning
on page 24 to determine which range is correct for the
seed you are dispersing. Some seeds work with both
ranges.
1. Loosen upper and lower chain idlers.
2. Remove 5/8" nut, lock washer, and flat washer from
center of 19T/35T speed change sprocket.
3. Flip speed change sprocket to desired drive speed
and reinstall flat washer, lock washer, and nut.
Tighten 5/8" nut to the correct torque.
4. Adjust upper and lower chain idlers to retention chain
and tighten adjusting nuts to the correct torque.
Small Seeds Box Option
There is not a high or low range setting for the Small
Seeds Box. Instead, adjust cup settings using the Small
Seeds Chart on page 28 to control rate of discharge.
