Trobleshooting
Power does not turn on.
❐ Is the AC adapter connected?
❐ Is the AC adapter connected to an AC outlet?
The image from the connected device is not input.
❐ Is the cable correctly connected to the connector?
❐ Is your external device powered-on, and is it set correctly?
❐ Have you chosen the correct input setting for the kaptivator?
Image does not appear in the monitor.
❐ Is the external device powered-on, and it is set correctly?
❐ Have you chosen the correct input setting for the kaptivator?
❐ Is MONITOR SELECT set correctly?
❐ If there is a problem with the display, try adjusting the monitor. (☞p.12)
Clip does not play back.
❐ Is the style setting correct?
❐ Could you have selected a style in which playback is synchronized to an audio trigger, or
in which the ribbon controller adjusts the playback speed?
Can’t delete or edit a clip.
❐ Could the clip protect setting be “On”? (☞p.24)
❐ Is a motion sequence running? (☞p.17)
Can’t control via MIDI.
❐ Is the MIDI cable connected correctly?
❐ Have you made settings so that the Kaptivator is transmitting and receiving MIDI data on
the same MIDI channel as the external device?
❐ Is the MIDI channel set correctly? (☞p.27)
