LASER SAFETY

NEVER LOOK DIRECTLY INTO THE LASER BEAM OR POINT THE LASER AT
ANYONE ELSE. Laser beam can cause eye injury.

Laser should only be aimed

at the work piece.

NEVER POINT THE LASER AT REFLECTIVE SURFACES. Laser beam can
reflect into eyes and cause injury.

Highly polished or metallic surfaces should

NOT

be cut using the laser.

DO NOT ATTEMPT TO INCREASE THE LASER’S OUTPUT.

Tampering with the

laser could lead to personal injury.

REPLACING LASER BATTERIES

The laser runs on two AAA batteries which are located beneath the “ON/OFF”

switch.
When the laser light begins to dim, change both batteries.
Remove batteries before putting the circular saw into storage. Batteries may leak

and cause damage if the laser is not used for over 90 days.

TO CHANGE LASER BATTERIES:
1. Open battery compartment cover.
2. Make sure batteries are correctly

positioned according to the posi-

tive/negative markings on the com-

partment.

3. Close cover.

USING THE LASER

Use of controls or adjustments or performance of proce-

dures other than those specified herein may result in hazardous radiation
exposure.

Sharp blows may affect the accuracy of this laser.

Avoid

striking the laser housing.

• Mark the desired line of cut so it is easily visible.
• Set the shoe against the work piece.
• Push laser “ON/OFF” switch to “ON”.
• Adjust the laser line until it lines up with the cut line marking. Blade will now be

in the proper position to make your cut.

• Pull the trigger to start the saw.
• When the blade reaches full speed, slowly feed the blade into the work piece.

When the blade starts cutting, release the blade guard.

DO NOT force saw. Allow saw to cut at its own rate.
• Cut straight lines only. Attempting to cut a curve will bend the blade which could

result in personal injury or damage to the tool.

• If you need to stop in the middle of a cut, turn off the saw and allow it to come

to a complete stop before removing it from the material.

• When the cut is finished, turn off the laser light.
