If neither your home network
nor any of those declared in
the network list are available,
the phone then automatically
tries to register to another
one cooperating with your
home network.
Searching for a Network Automatically
If you wish to use your cellular phone abroad and
have modified your network list, you must select a
foreign GSM network. You can only select a GSM
network cooperating with your home network (see
your network operator to obtain a list). The phone
can reach other networks for emergency calls only
(see page 14). In automatic mode, the phone selects:

Your home network first
or
◆
The first network in your network list if the home
network is not available (see page 64), then the
other ones in turn
