Note: If you cancel the
Activation Wizard before
Activation is complete, an
Activation Alert Notification will
be displayed explaining that you
must activate your card in order
to connect to the Internet or
other Internet dependent
function, such as email.

Follow these steps for activation:

Write down and keep handy the following activation infor-
mation. (This information can be found on the packaging
materials found inside the box, if the card was shipped to
you. If you do not have this information, contact your
service provider).

ESN (located on the bottom of the AirCard 580

Activation Code (six-digits, e.g. 000000)

MIN (Mobile Identification Number)

MDN (Mobile Directory Number)

SID (System Identification Number)

MCC (Mobile Country Code)

MNC (Mobile Network Code)

Once the AirCard 580 is properly installed into the Type II
PC Card slot of your notebook PC, the Activation Wizard
automatically appears. If you choose to activate the
AirCard 580 at a later time, click

Cancel

. The Activation

Wizard may be launched manually by accessing the

Settings

menu in Watcher:

Settings > General

Once the Activation Wizard launches, read the instructions
and click

Follow the on-screen instructions of the Activation Wizard
and click

Finish

, when complete. You will need to wait a

few moments for the AirCard 580 to automatically reset.

Note: If you receive a message
explaining that "Activation
Failed" check to ensure that you
are in a strong signal area.

You are now ready to use the Sierra Wireless AirCard 580!
