Before contacting a service center
Symptom
The images are
unclear
The flash does
not fire
Incorrect date and
time is displayed
The camera buttons
do not operate
Memory card error
The images don’t
play back
Causes
- The focus mode is not correct.
- The autofocus was not activated
- Taking a picture beyond the flash range
- The lens is smudged or dirty.
- FLASH OFF mode have been
selected
- The date and time have been set
incorrectly or the camera has
adopted the default settings
- Camera malfunction
- Incorrect memory card format
- Incorrect file name
(Violation of DCF format)
- If the subject is closer than 0.8m,
select macro shot mode.
- Use Fixed focus when you can’t
use auto focus mode.
- Take a picture within the flash range
- Clean the lens
- Dis-engage FLASH OFF mode
- Reset the date and time correctly
- Remove /re-insert batteries and
switch camera on
- Re-format the memory card (p.83)
- Do not change the image file
name
The camera doesn’t
function while using.
- The camera malfunction.
- Slide the power switch over 3
seconds and the camera power is
turned off and on automatically.
