In reply to the question: NEW PIN ?, type in
your new PIN code (4 to 8 digit number) and
validate.
In reply to the question: CHECK PIN ?, type
in your new PIN code a second time for
verification and validate.
10.3 Activating the PIN code
SECURITY/PIN CHECK.
This menu allows you to have the PIN code
requested and checked at each startup so that
if lost or stolen, your SIM card will be unusable:
In reply to the question: PIN ?, type in your
PIN code and validate.
Display ACTIVE by pressing the scrolling
arrows, then validate.
10.4 Activating the phone code
SECURITY/PHONE CHCK
The SECURITY/PHONE CHCK menu allows
you to have the PHONE code requested and
checked at each startup, in case someone tries
to use a different SIM card.
The phone code is a
secret code,
intended to protect
the phone in the
event of theft. It is
linked automatically
to the SIM card
present on
activation.
To activate:
In reply to the question: CODE ?,
type in 0000 and validate.
Display ACTIVE by pressing the
scrolling arrows, then validate.
To deactivate:
In reply to the question: CODE ?,
type in your code (may have
been changed) and validate.
Display INACTIVE with the scrolling arrows,
then validate. The code is reset to 0000.
10.5 Changing the phone code
SECURITY/PHONE CODE
When active, you can modify the PHONE code:
In reply to the question: OLD CODE ?, type
in your old PHONE code and validate.
In reply to the question: NEW CODE ?, type
in your new PHONE code (a 4 to 8 digit
number) and validate.
In reply to the question: CHECK CODE ?,
type in your new PHONE code a second time
for verification and validate.
