Problem Action
¥ Change the parallel interface cable.
¥ Make sure you are using the correct printer driver.
¥ Graphics print more slowly than text.
¥ Make sure the Toner Cartridge is properly installed.
¥ Paper may not be loaded and aligned correctly in the
paper feeder.
¥ The applicationÕs paper size and margin settings may
be incorrect.
¥ The selected printer driver may be incorrect. Make
sure you select the ML-5050G Series as the default
printer in your application.
Unexpected characters

Bi-directional communication may not be setup properly.
¥ Check that the parallel port is set for bi-directional
mode in the computerÕs BIOS. If you do not know how
to enter the BIOS or make the changes, contact the
computer manufacturer.
¥ Make sure that the cable is bi-directional IEEE-1284
compliant parallel interface cable.
The printer does not print

¥ Change the ports of existing printer drivers to FILE.
¥ Uninstall the existing printer drivers before you install
your printer driver.
This printer not support DOS (DOS windows & pure
DOS) application.
