If taking multiple measurements, please allow 5 minutes
between measurements. This will allow your blood ves-
sels to return to their normal state.
If you have consumed beverages containing caffeine or
have smoked, please allow 30 - 45 minutes before taking
your measurement.
Do not place the cuff over a jacket or
sweater sleeve; it must be wrapped
around your exposed upper arm.
Make sure the cuff tube is attached
to the connector just above the bulb
as shown above.
Keep in mind that blood pressure
naturally varies from time to time
throughout the day and is affected by
many different factors, such as smoking, alcohol consump-
tion, medication, and physical activity.
