Before grilling
The grill can be used with or without the
lava rocks. Without the lava rocks the
rising steam keeps the food being
grilled moist. Grilling with the lava rocks
creates a particularly intensive aroma.
Prepare the grill as follows, before
switching it on:
^ Make sure the drain tap is closed.
^ Take off the rack, lift up the heating
element, and if not being used, take
the lava rock container out.
^ Fill the grill trough
– up to marker line a with approx. 2.5
litres of water when grilling without
lava rocks .
– up to edge b with approx. 1.2 litres
of water when grilling with lava
rocks .
^ If using lava rocks put the container
back in the grill trough.
^ Lower the heating element again,
and put the rack on it.
