IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should atways be followed to reduce
the risk of fire, electric shock and/or injury to persons, including the following:

Read all i n s t r u c t i o n s before using the coffeemaker

Do not touch the coffeemaker’s hot surfaces.

To protect against electric shock, do not immerse the power cord, power plug, or
coffeemaker In water or other liquid.

Close adult supervision is necessary when this appliance is used by or near children
l
Turn the coffeemaker off and unplug the power cord from the power source when the
coffeemaker or clock are not in use and before c l e a n l n g . Allow the coffeemaker parts to
cool before putting on or taking off parts and before cleaning the appliance.
l
Do not operate any a p p l i a n c e with a damaged cord or plug or operate lt after the appliance
malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner. Return this a p p l i a n c e only to the nearest
authorized service center for examinatlon, repair or adjustment.

The use of accessory attachments other than MR. products may cause hazards or injuries.
l
D o not use outdoors.
l
Do not let the power cord hang over the edge of a table or counter or allow lt to come in
contact wlth hot surfaces.

Do not place this appliance on or near a hot gas or electric bur ner o r in a heated oven.

To disconnect, tum the coffeemaker OFF, then remove the power plug from wall o u t l e t .

Do not use the coffeemaker for other than intended use.
l
Place the coffeemaker on a hard, flat level surface to avoid interruption of alr flow
undemeath the appliance.

This coffeemaker is deslgned for household use only.

Warning: To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not remove any service
covers. There are no user serviceable parts inslde the coffeemaker. Only authorized
personnel should repair the coffeemaker.
Thermal carafe use and care
You may damage your thermal carafe if you do not follow these instructions:
Use only the thermal carafe specifically designed for MR. modek.
- T h i s thermal carafe is deslgned for use with your MR. Coffeemaker and therefore
must never be used on a rangetop or In any oven, Including a microwave.
- Do not use a cracked themral carafe.
- Do not clean the thermal carafe with cleansers, steel wool pads, or other abrasive
m a t e r i a l s (see i n s t r u c t i o n s f o r *Cleaning the thermal carafe* on page 10).
- Avoid sharp blows, scratches or rough handling.
- Avold sudden temperature changes for the glass liner. If the glass liner is hot, do not add
cold water. if the glass liner is cold, do not add hot water.
- Do not take apart the thermal carafe.
- Do not place in the dishwasher.
- Do not immerse the thermal carafe in water.

Warning: To avoid risk of cuts or other injury, throw away the thermal carafe
immedlately if t h e g l a s s liner breaks. Do not push hand or flngers into the thermal
carafe, or force any objects into carafe opening.
