OPEN/CLOSE A Button
Press to open or close the Disc tray.
PLAY B Button
Press to play a Disc.
STOP C Button
Press to stop Disc playback.
STANDBY-ON y y Button
Press to turn the DVD Player’s
power on or off.
PREV H and NEXT G Buttons
Press to go to previous or subsequent Tracks or
Chapters. Press and hold for about 2 seconds for
a fast forward or reverse search.
Remote Sensor
(IR - infrared)
Receives a signal from
your remote control so
you can operate your
DVD Player from a
distance.
Display with Dimmer
Messages about current
DVD Player operations
appear here. See Display
Messages below.
You can adjust the
brightness of the display.

Disc tray
Insert a Disc here.
Appears during repeat
playback
Indicates A-B Repeat
Appears when REPEAT
ALL is active
Appears when playback is
paused
Appears during slow motion
playback (DVD,Video CD)
Appears during Disc playback
Power is turning on.
Appears after the disc tray closes if
the tray is empty, if there is an error
reading the disc, or if an unacceptable
disc is installed.
Tray is opening or is open.
Tray is closing.
Disc is loading.
Power is turning off.
Playback control is active (Video CD).

Identifies the type of
disc in the tray
• DVD: DVD
• CD: Audio CD, MP3,
JPEG
• VCD:Video CD
Appears when
Progressive Scan
is active
Indicates the elapsed playing
time of a Title or Track;
displays the Title,Track,
and/or Chapter number
when it begins to play
