If using LPR printing, you need to ensure the Wireless Print Server has a valid IP address
before configuring your Mac as follows (see
LPR Printing Setup
Use the following procedure to enable a printer:

Select the Printer List icon. The Printer List window is displayed:

Click Add Printer. The Printer List window displayed.

Select LPR Printers using IP.

In the LPR Printer's Address field, enter the IP address of the Print Server.

Enter the Queue Name (L1 for Parallel Port, L2 for USB Port).

Select the Printer Model from the drop-down list.

Click Add. Configuration is complete.
