Power Control Triggers

The SPKR1(A) and SPKR2(B) Power Control Outputs are

reassignable to activate only when a given Input is select-

ed. In the following example, the Power Control SPKR1(A)

Jack will be set to function as TRIGGER A for the DVD

Input.

1. Press the SETUP Push-button to access the Setup

Mode.

2. Press the Menu Menu  or Menu  Push-button until

“TRIG TUN > - - ” appears on the Front Panel Alpha-

numeric Display.

3. Rotate the INPUT Control until the display indicates

“TRIG DVD > - - ”. Refer to figure 7.

4. Press the SELECT  or  Push-button until the dis-

play indicates “TRIG DVD > A ”. Refer to figure 8.

5. Press the SETUP Push-button to exit the Setup Mode.

The C220 remembers for each input if the TONE BYPASS

has been activated. To de-activate the AUTOTONE fea-

ture, perform the following:

1. Press the SETUP Push-button to access the Setup

Mode.

2. Press the Menu  or Menu  Push-button until

“AUTOTONE ON” appears on the Front Panel Alpha-

numeric Display.

3. Press the SELECT  or  Push-button until the dis-

play indicates “AUTOTONE OFF”.

4. Press the SETUP Push-button to exit the Setup Mode.

Auto Tone

Remote Control Selection

The C220 will respond to Remote Control Codes NORMal

(default) or ALTernate. The ALTernate Codes are for use

when the C220 is part of a system with another McIntosh

Control Center or Preamplifier. This will prevent the Re-

mote Control from affecting the operation of both units at

the same time.

Note: If the ALT Remote Control Code is selected, the C220

will not respond using the supplied McIntosh Remote

Control. See your McIntosh Dealer for additional

information.

1. Press the SETUP Push-button to access the Setup

Mode.

2. Press the Menu  or Menu  Push-button until “RE-

MOTE NORM” appears on the Front Panel Alphanu-

meric Display.

3. Press the SELECT  or  Push-button Push-button

until the display indicates “REMOTE ALT”.

4. Press the SETUP Push-button to exit the Setup Mode.

Accessory Power Control

The ACC (C) Power Control Output is reassignable from

going ON/OFF with the C220 (Main), to be controlled by

the Remote Control ACC ON/OFF Push-buttons. To reas-

sign it perform the following:

1. Press the SETUP Push-button to access the Setup

Mode.

2. Press the Menu  or Menu  Push-button until “ACC

< C > MAIN” appears on the Front Panel Alphanu-

meric Display.

3. Press the SELECT  or  Push-button until the dis-

play indicates “ACC< C > ON”. Refer to figure 9.

4. Press the SETUP Push-button to exit the Setup Mode.

Tube LED

To swich Off the Tube LED green illumination perform the

following:

1. Press the SETUP Push-button to access the Setup

Mode.

2. Press the Menu  or Menu  Push-button until

“TUBE LED ON” appears on the Front Panel Alphanu-

meric Display.

3. Press the SELECT  or  Push-button until the dis-

play indicates “TUBE LED OFF”.

4. Press the SETUP Push-button to exit the Setup Mode.

3. Press the TRIM LEVEL Down Push-button until the

Front Panel Alphanumeric Display indicates “Display

3”.

4. Press the SETUP Push-button to exit the Setup Mode.
