What is ENERGY STAR
®
?
ENERGY STAR
®
is the trusted, government-backed
symbol for energy efficiency helping us all save
money and protect the environment through
energy-efficient products and practices.
The ENERGY STAR
®
label was
established to:
• Reduce greenhouse gas emissions and other
pollutants caused by the inefficient use of energy;
and
• Make it easy for consumers to identify and
purchase energy-efficient products that offer
savings on energy bills without sacrificing
performance, features, and comfort.
For a ventilation fan to achieve ENERGY STAR
®
approval it must meet strict efficiency standards for
both sound and performance.
By using Greenheck model SP ENERGY STAR
®
qualified fans you are helping to provide an energy
efficient alternative that helps save money
and resources.
See pages 16 and 17 for ENERGY STAR
®
qualified models.
More information on the certification process and a
complete list of qualified products can be found on
the ENERGY STAR
®
website (www.energystar.gov).
Model Number Code
The model number code system is designed to completely identify the fan. The correct code letters
must be specified to designate belt or direct drive. The remainder of the model code is determined by
the size and performance.
Products that earn the ENERGY STAR®
prevent greenhouse gas emissions
by meeting strict energy efficiency
guidelines set by the U.S. Environmental
Protection Agency and the U.S.
Department of Energy.
