Card Problems

Possible Causes

Suggestions

Windows asks you
to restart your
computer before
the “click to finish”
message appears
from the
installation.

You may have
inserted the PC
card before
completing the
software
installation.

Choose “No” or “Cancel” and then restart
your computer manually after clicking
“Finish” on the installation setup.

The extended range
cable connector
becomes loose and
separated from the
PC card.

The extension
cable connector is
not properly
installed.

Insert the extended range antenna cable
into the PC card until you hear a click.
Carefully follow the instructions given in
this guide regarding the Extended Range
Cable Antenna.

The PC card cannot
be enabled after
restarting.

The driver was
stopped from the
system tray.

See the section titled “Removing the FPC
1000.”

Your computer
locks up.

You probably
ejected and re-
inserted the PC
card while it was
enabled, which
causes the
computer to lock
up.

Make sure that you disable the card and
follow the proper removal steps before
unplugging it

The Flarion
Mobility Manager
flashes on the
screen and then
disappears.

Click the PC card icon that is located in
your system tray or desktop, which will
bring the Flarion Mobility Manager
window back.

The over-the-air
upgrade does not
work.
