atomizing cap
adjustment
to ensure good spraying results, the atom-
izing cap must be correctly orientated for
the direction of the stroke pattern—either
horizontal or vertical.
spraying in the wrong direction may lead
to material build-up on the atomizing cap
horn. Many performance problems are
caused by clogged atomizing holes. in this
case, clean the spray gun (see
ceaning
on
page 10)
if the stroke pattern is side-to-side,
the horns of the atomizing cap must
be arranged horizontally, as shown in
figure 7.
Conversely, if the stroke pattern is up-and-
down, the atomizing cap horns should be
vertical, as shown in
figure 8.

the gun body controls the spray output
between a round pattern and a wide fan,
as illustrated in
figure 6.
