The operator panel keys have different functions depending on the printer's mode of operation.
The modes of operation are:

• OFF LINE Mode
• ON LINE Mode
• MENU Mode
• POWER ON Mode
• TEAR OFF Mode

Some keys may be "locked" or have no function in a given mode. See
