• Turn the vehicle body upright.
• Using safety scissors, cut the
plastic retainer holding the gearbox in place.
• Throw away the plastic retainer.

• Turn the vehicle body
over so the bottom is
facing you.
• Loosen and remove the screw and washer holding the rear
axle in place. Remove the rear axle. Set the rear axle aside
for assembly step 4.
• Throw away the screw and washer. They are not
needed for assembly.

• Fit a round bushing, barrel side first,
into the hole inside the battery
compartment.
• Position the gearbox with the teeth
outward. Fit the gearbox through the
large opening in the side of the battery compartment.
