Before beginning the installation be sure the following
tools and building supplies are available:
Reciprocating saw Framing material
Pliers Non-combustible sealant
Hammer Gloves
Phillips screwdriver Framing square
Flat blade screwdriver Electric drill and bits
Plumb line Safety glasses
Level Tape measure
1/2-3/4 in. length, #6 or #8 self-drilling screws
Misc. screws and nails
F. Tools and Supplies Needed H. Inspect Fireplace and Components
WARNING! Risk of Fire and/or Explosion! Damaged
parts could impair safe operation. DO NOT install dam-
aged, incomplete or substitute components. Keep fi re-
place dry.
• Remove
fi replace and components from packaging
(please refer to Section 7) and inspect for damage.
• Vent system components and doors are shipped in
separate packages.
• Report to your dealer any parts damaged in shipment.
• Read all the instructions before starting the
installation. Follow these instructions carefully
during the installation to ensure maximum safety
and benefi t.
G. Fireplace System Requirements
This fi replace system requires:
• Hearth Refractory
• Grate Assembly
• Outside Air Hood
- Duct must be installed, but sold separately.
