1.
Check to ensure the microscope’s illumination source is activated or its mirror properly positioned.

Check to ensure that the video device is connected, and the video device driver is installed in Device Manager.
3.
Check to ensure the Exposure (Iris) value under
Cap Properties
is normal.
4.
Check the dialog box
Select Video Device
to make sure the correct target video device is selected.
5.
Close the software and unplug the imager. Then, plug in the imager again and restart both computer and software.
If the unit and software still don’t function properly after you have followed all these steps, please contact Customer Service:

Your Celestron Digital Microscope Imager is a precision optical instrument and should be treated with care at all times. Follow
these suggestions and your microscope will need very little maintenance throughout its lifetime.

Store your imager in a clean, dry place.

Never use your imager where operation of such devices is
restricted. Improper use creates the risk of serious accident.

Only use your imager within the 23° to 120°F (-5°
to 50° C) temperature range. Try to limit sudden
temperature changes as this may create moisture in
the imager housing.

Do not try to access the internal components of your
imager or attempt to modify it in any way. Only
authorized technicians should perform maintenance
or repairs.

Keep your imager away from water and other liquids.
Never use it in rain or snow. Moisture creates the
danger of fire and electric shock.

If the exterior of your imager needs cleaning, wipe it with
a moist cloth.
