KNOW YOUR MOWER
A CAUTION
Be familiar with all the controls and their proper operation. Know how
to stop the machine and disengage the controls.

The operation of any lawn mower can result In foreign objects being
thrown Into the eyes, which can damage your eyes severely. Always
wear safety glasses while operating the mower, or while performing
any adjustments or repairs on It.
AWARNING
Be sure no one other than the operator is standing near the lawn
mower while starting engine or operating mower. Never run engine
indoors or in enclosed, poorly ventilated areas. Engine exhaust
contains carbon monoxide, an odorless and deadly gas. Keep hands,
feet, hair and loose clothing away from any moving parts on engine
and lawn mower.
THROTTLE/CHOKE CONTROL LEVER
IMPORTANT: When operating the mower with the
cutting deck engaged, be certain that the throttle/
choke control lever Is always In the fast position.
This lever is used to adjust engine speeds, to apply
the engine choke, and to stop the engine. Always
run engine at fast speed setting for best mower
performance.
CHOKE: Use when starting a cold engine
FAST: Use during mower operation.
SLOW: Use when idling engine.
STOP: Stops the engine.
GAS CAP
Remove the gas cap to add fuel to the fuel tank.
Use clean, fresh, regular unleaded gasoline with a minimum of 85
octane.

Turn the engine off and let the engine cool at least two minutes
before removing the gas cap.
DECK HEIGHT LEVER
Use this lever to adjust the cutting height. To use, move
the lever to the left, then place the lever In the notch best
suited for your application.
