IF the above Menu does not display, and it seems to be hung mid-display of settings,
press Enter again.

Press 0, and then hit Enter to enter the Server setup. It will prompt you one line at a
time, displaying the current setting in (parenthesis.) The screenshot below shows what
settings you should enter.
For IP addresses, type in 000. and the “.” character will make it prompt for the next
segment. For other settings, press Enter after typing in each value to set and advance.
Once the final setting is input, the Enter key should return it to the Change Setup menu.

Press 9, and then hit Enter to Save the settings and reboot the Ethernet modem. Hold
the “x” key after pressing Enter to re-enter this setup after it reboots. Review the
settings after they finish outputting to the screen by scrolling up in the HyperTerminal
window. If everything looks correct, Press 8 and Enter to exit without saving.

Disconnect the serial cable, reattach the UDS1100-IAP to its mounting plate and
reconnect its Serial port adapter to the serial communications board. Take care to
ensure the two serial connectors are fully seated. Retighten the thumbscrews on the
serial adapter, and retighten the mounting screws on the UDS1100-IAP and repower the
device.

The device can now be connected to on most networks via Lantronix’s DeviceInstaller
software and you can begin this Guide from the start. Alternately, you can use the
above menus to configure the device through HyperTerminal.
