FIG1
Fig 1.
Remove both mirrors. The fasteners are under
the rubber boots. Don't drop the mirrors!
Fig 2.
Remove the 2 screws at the front of the fairing.
FIG2
Fig 3.
Remove the 2 screws on either side of the
gauges. These fasten to the back of the charcoal V-
shaped piece on the front of the fairing.
FIG3
FIG4
Fig 5.
You can see the tabs on the V-shaped part
and the slots that they fit into on the silver fairing. The
tabs break very easily. If you happen to break one or
more of these, don’t worry. These don't affect the fit-
ment.
FIG5
FIG6
Fig 6.
The rubber grommet is fixed to the fairing and
you will need to pull the v-shaped piece away. If you
were standing in front of the bike looking at the screen,
you would pull it straight towards your body.
Fig 3.
HERE IS THE TRICKY PART! You have to
carefully pry the charcoal V-shaped piece from the fair-
ing. It is held in place by two tabs on each side (see
FIG5) and by a plastic pin at the bottom that pushes
into a rubber grommet. (See FIG6).
Helpful hints: Use metric tools, clean hands, put the bike on a center stand. Do not pry on the screen excessively, as it will break
without much warning.
