Signal Description

Signal Name IN/OUT Explanation

FG – Frame Ground

SD OUT Send Data.

RD IN Receive Data. Receives data transmitted from the

computer.

RS OUT Request To Send. “SPACE” level when the

printer is ready to send data to the computer.

DR IN Data Set Ready. When DSR is at “SPACE” level,

data can be accepted.

SG – Signal Ground

ER OUT Data Terminal Ready. “MARK” level when the

printer is Busy.
