PISTON SEAL
SEAL RETAINER
LOWER GUIDE
PISTON BODY
Catalyst Pump Assembly:
Seal kit part # PAT-CP-0550-SK
1. Install cup seals (PAT-CP-0501) and leak spacer (PAT-CP-0507) into the outlet
body (PAT-CP-0503) in the following order. Cup seal (o-ring facing down) then
leak spacer, then second cup seal (o-ring facing down). Push the stack down
into the outlet body. Install retaining nut (PAT-CP-0506) only hand tight.
2. Install spring (4101-3-1) into the end of the piston rod (PAT-CP-0508). Put the
piston ball (9201-1-5) into the piston body (4102-7-1). Screw the piston rod onto
the piston body.
Note: Use a small amount of removable thread lock on the threads of the piston
rod. Do not over tighten as the threads are small and can become damaged
easily. Allow the thread lock to dry thoroughly before putting the pump into
service
3. Slide the piston seal (7304-1-1) onto the piston body (piston seal spring facing
up) followed by the piston guide (4102-8-1). Screw the piston seal retainer
(4102-9-1) onto the piston body. Tighten the assembly from the piston shaft to
seal retainer.
Note: Use a small amount of removable thread lock on the threads of the piston
body. Do not over tighten as the threads are small and can become damaged
easily. Allow the thread lock to dry thoroughly before putting the pump into
service
4. Install the shaft assembly up through the bottom of the outlet body (PAT-CP-
0503) so that the threads on the end of the piston rod extend past the retaining
nut (PAT-CP-0506). With a wrench lightly tighten retaining nut (PAT-CP-0506)
until the nut bottoms out on the outlet body.
