SET-UP FOR CHARGEABLE PATRIOT SYSTEMS
Internal Mix System
ACTIVITIES MUST BE DONE IN THE SEQUENCE SHOWN, AND MUST BE TICKED OFF AS
COMPLETED. USE THIS CHECKLIST IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE OPERATING MANUAL FOR THE
PATRIOT UNIT. THIS SEQUENCE FOLLOWS ON FROM “FIRST TIME START-UP CHECKLIST –
INTERNAL MIX”

Priority Put on Respirator as specified for spray painting, Protective Clothing,
Eye Protection, and PVC Gloves
1 Check all hoses for damage.
2 Check all material supplies and fill or replace as needed.
3 Open main inlet air valve on the manifold.
4 Open recirculation valve on Catalyst Manifold
5 Charge the Catalyst Accumulator by holding the charging hose on the
charging valve at the top of the Catalyst Accumulator for 5 seconds. If air
bubbles in the catalyst jug check the ball in the Catalyst Accumulator.
6 Remove the Pivot Pin from the catalyst drive.
7 Manually pump the catalyst pump with the catalyst drive, observe catalyst
returning to the catalyst jug, pump until the stream is air free.
8 Close recirculation valve on Catalyst Manifold.
9 Manually pump the catalyst pump with the Slave Arm drive, bring catalyst
pressure to operating pressure 100
– 200 psi.
10 Slowly open the ball valve at the bottom of the resin filter.
11 Charge the Resin Accumulator by holding the charging hose fitting on the
charging valve at the top of the Resin Accumulator for 7 seconds. If air
begins blowing fro the return hose check the Poly Ball in the Resin
Accumulator.
12 Close the Ball Valve at the bottom of the resin filter
13 Slowly turn up the pump air pressure to the operating pressure, 30 – 50 psi.
If a safety over ride valve is installed press and hold the priming button
while adjusting air pressure
14 Replace the Pivot Pin into the catalyst pump drive.
15 Apply a small amount of Red Grease to the threads of the Mix Chamber.
16 Install mixer and nozzle onto the mix chamber.
THE UNIT IS NOW READY FOR USE (See “Testing & Adjusting Manual”)
