7. Separate the two halves of the Shoulder
Belt Positioning Clip (Fig 76-1) and insert
the vehicle shoulder belt into both sides of
the clip. (Fig 76-2)
8. Pull the free end of the strap down to
tighten the clip against the child’s shoulder
and bring the shoulder belt into the proper
position. (Fig 76-3)
9. The lap portion of the lap/shoulder belt
MUST be low and snug on your child’s
hips, just touching the thighs.
DO NOT allow your child to slide down in
the booster seat. (Fig 76-4)
4. Thread the clips and free end of the strap
through the loop end and pull to eliminate
slack. (Fig 75-1)
5. Close the seat compartment and store the
Crotch Buckle and Harness Adjuster Strap
in their storage area. (Fig 75-2)
6. Lower the Seat Pad down and reattach
using the two elastic loops. Note: The clip
should be positioned so that the free end of
the strap faces toward the front seat.
