Optimizer microphone is not connected.
• Connect the supplied optimizer microphone to the
OPTIMIZER MIC jack on the front panel.
Unplug HP
Headphones are connected.
• Unplug the headphones.

E-1:NO FRONT SP
Front L/R channel signal(s) is (are) not
detected.
• Select the front speakers with SPEAKERS A/B.
• Check the front left and right speaker connections.
• Turn on the power to the external amplifier (when the
front speaker signals are output from an external
amplifier).
E-2:NO SURR. SP
Only one surround channel signal is detected.
• Check the surround speaker connections.
E-3:NO PRES. SP
Only one presence channel signal is detected.
• Check the presence speaker connections.
E-4:SBR->SBL
Only right surround back channel signal is
detected.
• Connect the surround back speaker to the LEFT
SURROUND BACK SPEAKERS terminal if you
only have one surround back speaker.
E-5:NOISY
Background noise is too loud.
• Try the auto setup procedure in a quiet environment.
• Turn off noisy electric equipment like air conditioners
(etc.) or move them away from the optimizer
microphone.
E-6:CHECK SUR.
Surround back speaker(s) is (are) connected,
though surround L/R speakers are not.
• Connect surround speakers when you use (a)
surround back speaker(s).
• Check the surround speaker connections.
E-7:NO MIC
The optimizer microphone was unplugged
during the auto setup procedure.
• Do not touch the optimizer microphone during the
auto setup procedure.
E-8:NO SIGNAL
The optimizer microphone does not detect test
tones.
• Check the microphone setting.
• Check the speaker connections and placement.
E-9:USER CANCEL
The auto setup procedure was cancelled due to
user activity.
• Perform the auto setup procedure again. Do not adjust
VOLUME (etc.) during the auto setup procedure.
E-10:INTERNAL
ERROR
A DSP communication error or hangup
occurred.
• Perform the auto setup procedure again.
