■ Adjusting the volume level
Use the VOLUME control (or press VOL (+/–) on the
remote control) to increase or decrease the volume
level.

“
VOL MIN
” is the minimum volume level and
“
VOL MAX
” is the maximum volume level.
To mute the volume temporarily
Press MUTE on the remote control.

Playback continues without sound and “
MUTE
”
appears.

To restore the volume, press MUTE again or
increase/decrease the volume level.
■ Night listening mode
When night listening mode is activated, high volume
output is softened and low volume output raised to an
audible level (for DVD playback only). This is useful for
watching your favorite action movie without disturbing
others at night.
This function is only available for Dolby Digital.
– Press NIGHT on the remote control to activate the
night listening mode.

Playback continues at a more even volume and
“
NIGHT ON
” appears in the display panel.
– To restore the volume, press NIGHT again.

Playback continues with the full dynamic range of
surround sound, and “
NIGHT OFF
” appears in the
display panel.
■ Switching to active mode
– Press TUNER repeatedly on the remote control to
select the appropriate active mode.
Each time you press TUNER, the front display
changes as follows:
TUNER/FM
TUNER/FM
– Press AUX repeatedly on the remote control to select
the appropriate active mode.
Each time you press AUX, the front display changes as
follows;
AUX/ANALOG
AUX/DIGITAL
■ Switching to standby mode
Press STANDBY/ON on the front panel or POWER

) on the remote control.

The display screen goes blank.
