MEMORY AND SCAN OPERATION
• Programming in VFO mode

Select M2 functions.
• Push [DISPLAY] 1 or 2 times to select M.
• Push [MENU] one or more times to select the M2 func-
tions.

Set the desired frequency and operating mode in
VFO mode.
• If you want to program the split frequency function, pro-
gram both receive and transmit frequencies into VFO A
and B, then turn ON the split function.
• If you want to program a repeater function, set a tone
frequency (p. 49) in addition to the receive/transmit fre-
quencies.

Rotate [M-CH] to select the desired memory chan-
nel, or the call channel (144/430 MHz bands only).
• Select memory mode to confirm the contents, if desired.
• “}” appears if the selected memory channel is a
blank channel (and does not have contents).

Push [
(F-1)
MW] for 2 sec. to program the displayed
frequency and operating mode into the memory
channel.
To check the programmed contents, push [
(F-3)
V/M]
to select memory mode; or, push [CALL] to select the
call channel.
