2. Rotate the drive bay assembly upward to gain access to the system board.

3. Remove any parts that might prevent access to the DIMM slots.
4. Remove the DIMM being replaced by opening the retaining clips as shown.
5. Make sure that the DIMM notch 1 aligns correctly with the connector key 2
on the system board. Push or insert the DIMM straight down into the
connector until the retaining clips close.
6. To complete the installation, go to “Completing the CRU replacement” on page
16.
