Personal safety
a. Stay alert. Watch what you are do-
ing and use common sense when
operating the tool. Do not use the
tool while tired or under the influ-
ence of drugs, alcohol, or medica-
tion. A moment of inattention while
operating the tool increases the risk
of injury to persons.

Dress properly. Do not wear loose
clothing or jewelry. Contain long
hair. Keep hair, clothing, and
gloves away from moving parts.

parts.

Avoid unintentional starting. Be
sure the switch is off before con-
necting to the air supply. Do not
carry the tool with your finger on the
valve or connect the tool to the air
supply with the valve on.

Remove adjusting keys and
wrenches before turning the tool
on. A wrench or a key that is left at-
tached to a rotating part of the tool
increases the risk of personal injury.
e.
Do not overreach. Keep proper
footing and balance at all times.
Proper footing and balance enables
better control of the tool in unexpect-
ed situations.

Use safety equipment. A
dust mask, non-skid safety
shoes and a hard hat must
be used for the applicable
conditions. Wear heavy-duty work
gloves during use.

Always wear eye protec-
tion. Wear ANSI-ap-
proved safety goggles.

Always wear hearing
protection when using
the tool. Prolonged expo-
sure to high intensity noise
is able to cause hearing loss.

Keep this product and all other tools
away from children and animals. Do
not allow spectators in or around the
work area.
j.
Never submerge this tool in liquids or
use while in an excessively moist, or
volatile environment.
k. Ensure the bit, Collet Nut and work
piece are tightly secured before each
use.

Use only included and/or recom-
mended parts & accessories with this
tool. Never use a carbide tipped or
steel circular saw blade with this Die
Grinder. Do not use a wood carving
blade, carving disc with chain saw
cutters, or a cutting carving disc with
this Die Grinder.
m. Never exceed the maximum rated
air pressure for this tool. Also never
attempt to use a propellant other than
what has been recommended/speci-
fied.

Never force or modify a tool to per-
form a task for which it was not con-
structed.
