Forward slow playback [DVD] [Video CD]
Press [FWD SLOW] repeatedly to select the forward slow speed
playback.
“SF1 ”, “SF2 ” and “SF3 ” (3 steps)

] to return to normal playback.
Reverse slow playback [DVD]
Press [REV SLOW] repeatedly to select the reverse slow speed
playback.
“SR1 ”, “SR2 ” and “SR3 ” (3 steps)

] to return to normal playback.
Note:
The sound is muted during slow motion playback.
Important Note:

” may appear on the TV screen during operation. This icon
means that the function is not available on the disc now.
Still Picture (Pause)
Press [PAUSE/STEP] during playback.

Each time the button is pressed, the picture advances one frame.

] to return to normal playback.
Notes:

The sound is muted.

Frame playback is operated forward only.
Picture Zoom [DVD] [Video CD]
1. Press [ZOOM] while holding [SHIFT] down during playback.
The central part of the picture is magnified, and “Zoom +1”
appears on the TV screen.
• Each time you press [ZOOM] while holding [SHIFT] down
or press [RETURN], the picture zooms in or out (“Zoom
+15” ~ “Zoom -15” appears).
• Each time you press [

], [
5
] or [
b
], the picture moves
from side to side, up and down (“PAN Up”, “PAN Right”,
“PAN Down”, or “PAN Left” briefly appears).
2. To return playback, press [CLEAR].
Note:
Picture Zoom may not work on some discs.
