Set the preamp gain. At far
clockwise settings the input
amplifier will start to clip the
audio signal and therefore
overdrive effect occurs
Set the threshold of the Gate extractor
circuit. It is a voltage above which the
audio signal will trigger the gate – see
the diagram below! Please note, that,
depending on the threshold setting, a same
waveform can output various gates
Select the attack time of the
envelope. Options are Fast, Slow and
Medium. Select the Slow option, if
you are controlling the VCF cutoff
frequency to design an acid bassline
in beat with a kick drum.
This is the audio input. Depending on the
gain setting, you can use various input
signals – modular, guitar, dynamic
microphone, various sensors, etc.
This is the envelope output. The
envelope is boosted to +10V level, so
you can use it to open VCAs without need
to amplify it. The green LED indicates the
envelope status
This is the gate output. The red LED
indicates that the gate is on. By
adjusting the threshold potentiometer,
you can achieve distinct, rhythmic gates
to control other modules in your rack
