Eclipse Switchable Permanent Magnets
The Optimag Pneumatic gripper is a pneumatically switched magnet. It is available in five standard sizes as part of a
modular system. Each size is available with a fine or coarse pole configuration, ensuring maximum clamping power is made
on the minimum thickness materials. The coarse pole Optimag provides greater clamping forces on thicker materials as
compared to the fine pole Optimag.
Fail Safe
The Optimag Pneumatic gripper is a pneumatically switched magnet. It is available in five standard sizes as part of a
modular system. Each size is available with a fine or coarse pole configuration, ensuring maximum clamping power is made
on the minimum thickness materials.
Optional Sensing
An optional sensing attachment is available. This unique device sends a signal only when the magnet is in contact with a
component and is energized. This is a key feature for integration into robotics applications.
Fixing
Each magnet has a central M10 x 20 deep fixing hole. This is supported by one anti-rotation hole 0.314" (8mm) diameter x
0.314" (8mm) deep.

• Outer shell material - Aluminum blue anodize finish
• Front working face - Stainless steel with product protection ring
• Air requirements - Only required during switching
• Air pressure - 1.5 bar min - 2 bar max /21-20 psi
• Air connection - 1/8" bsp
• Max operating temp. - 50º C / 122º F
