1.0 INSTALLATION
The Junction Boxes are mounted
via 4 holes on the base of the unit.
Details of the hole sizes and fixing
centres can be found in the
attached data sheet. Units may
be fixed to vertical, horizontal or
angled surfaces.
The use of stainless steel fasteners
and anti-vibration washers is
recommended.
1.1 CABLE TERMINATION
Unscrew the 4 x M5 retained
screws in the cover of the Junction
Boxes (4.0mm AF hexagon key).
Remove the cover exposing the
terminals and the internal earth
stud. See 1.2 General Termination
Details.
After cable termination has been
completed, the cover can be
replaced and secured with the 4 x
M5 fixing screws, maximum torque
4NM.
MEDC recommend that all cables
and cores should be fully
identified.
Ensure that only the correct
certified glands are used and that
the assembly is shrouded and
correctly earthed.
1.2 GENERAL TERMINATION
DETAILS
When installing and operating
explosion-proof electrical equip-
ment, the relevant national
regulations for installation and
operation (e.g. EN60079-14 and
IEE Wiring Regulations) must be
observed.
Ensure that all nuts, bolts and
fixings are secure.
Ensure that only the correct
certified stopping plugs are used
to blank off unused gland entry
points. We recommend the use of
‘HYLOMAR PL32 COMPOUND’
on the threads of the stopping
plugs in order to maintain the IP
rating of the unit.

Les boîtiers de jonction s’installent
au moyen des quatre trous situés
à la base. Les dimensions et
entraxes des trous sont indiqués sur
la fiche technique du catalogue.
Les boîtes peuvent être installées
sur des surfaces verticales,
horizontales ou inclinées.
Il est recommandé d’utiliser des
fixations en acier inoxydable avec
rondelles antivibrations.
1.1 ELÉMENTS DE CONNEXION
DES CÂBLES
Démonter les quatre vis M5 de
fixation du couvercle (clé Allen de
4mm).
Enlever le couvercle pour accéder
aux bornes, y compris la borne
interne de mise à la terre. Voir
Généralités ci-dessous.
Une fois les câbles connectés, le
couvercle doit être remis en place
et fixé au moyen des quatre vis M5
en serrant à 4 Nm au maximum.
MEDC recommande d’identifier
clairement tous les câbles et
conducteurs.
Vérifier que les presse-étoupes
adaptés sont utilisés et que
l’ensemble est protégé et
correctement mis à la terre.
1.2 GÉNÉRALITÉS
Pour toute installation et mise en
œuvre d’un équipement électrique
antidéflagrant, la réglementation
nationale en vigueur (par exemple
EN60079-14 et Règlements IEE)
doit être respectée.
Vérifier que les écrous, boulons et
fixations sont correctement serrés.
Vérifier que les entrées de câble
non utilisées sont obstruées par des
bouchons adaptees à la certifica-
tion de l’appareil. Afin de garantir
le maintien du niveau de classifica-
tion IP, nous recommandons
d’enduire le filetage des bouchons
de pâte d’étanchéité HYLOMAR
PL32.
1.0 INSTALLATION
Die Verteilerdosen werden mit Hilfe
von 4 Bohrungen am Unterteil des
Bauteils befestigt. Die genauen
Bohrungsgrößen und Befestigungs-
mittelpunkte sind dem beiliegenden
Datenblatt zu entnehmen. Die Bauteile
können an senkrechten, waagrechten
oder winkligen Oberflächen befestigt
werden.
Die Verwendung von Befestigungs-
elementen aus Edelstahl und
s c h w i n g u n g s d ä m p f e n d e n
Unterlegscheiben wird empfohlen.
1.1 KABELENDVERSCHLUSS
Lösen Sie die vier M5-Schrauben im
Deckel der Verteilerdosen (4,0mm
Inbusschlüssel).
Nehmen Sie den Deckel ab, um die
Klemmen und den internen Erdstift
freizulegen. Siehe “1.2 Allgemeine
Endverschluss-Angaben”.
Wenn der Kabelendverschluss
abgeschlossen ist, kann der Deckel
wieder aufgesetzt und mit Hilfe der
vier M5-Schrauben befestigt werden
(maximales Anzugs-moment 4Nm).
MEDC empfiehlt, alle Kabel und
Adern vollständig zu kennzeichnen.
Stellen Sie sicher, dass nur
Anschlussstutzen mit der richtigen
Zertifizierung benutzt werden und die
Baugruppe ummantelt und richtig
geerdet ist.
1.2 A L L G E M E I N E
ENDVERSCHLUSS-ANGABEN
Bei Installation und Betrieb
explosionsgeschützter elektrischer
Einrichtungen sind die ents-
prechenden landesspezifischen
Regelungen betreffs Installation und
Betrieb (z.B. EN60079-14 und
Installationsvorschriften der
Vereinigung der Elektroingenieure in
Großbritannien) zu beachten.
Stellen Sie sicher, dass alle Muttern,
Schrauben und Befestigungselemente
fest sitzen.
Stellen Sie sicher, dass zum
Verschließen unbenutzter An-
schlussstutzen-Öffnungen nur
Verschlussstopfen mit der richtigen
Zertifizierung verwendet werden. Wir
empfehlen die Verwendung von
“HYLOMAR PL32 COMPOUND” an
den Gewinden der Verschluss-stopfen,
um die IP-Klasse des Aggregats
aufrechtzuerhalten.
