■ Setting up your Stylus Scan 2500
❚ Releasing the Transportation Lock
Before connecting the Stylus Scan to a power source, you must release the transporta-
tion lock. To release the transportation lock, follow the steps below.
1. Open the document cover. Then open the maintenance cover.
2. Slide the transportation lock out, as illustrated below, to release the scanner
carriage.
Note:
Slide the transportation lock in to lock the scanner carriage before transporting
the Stylus Scan.
3. Close the maintenance cover and document cover.
❚ Attaching the Paper Support
Insert the paper support into the slots at the rear of the Stylus Scan.
