J This device is not designed to be used by people
(including children) with limited physical,
sensory or mental abilities or who lack the
experience and / or knowledge to use it, unless they
are supervised by a person responsible for safety or
receive instructions from such a person as to how the
device should be used. Children should be supervised in order
to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.

Setting up the appliance
j Before using the appliance for the first time, insert the accompanying
1.5 V alkaline batteries (type AA) into the battery compartment,
ensuring correct polarity.
j In order to insert or replace the batteries, turn the lower half of the
casing left and then pull it off with a downwards motion (see Fig. A).
j Insert the batteries, taking care to ensure correct polarity, replace
the lower half of the casing and tighten it by rotating it clockwise
(see Fig. A).
j Please ensure that the appliance is in perfect condition before
using it.
