Warnings!
– The hooks on grill cover 2 are
very sharp. Be careful not to
injure yourself on them.
– The grill cover 2 gets very hot.
Be careful not to burn yourself on
it.
1. Spear the prepared thin slices of meat,
fruit or vegetables on the hooks of grill
cover 2.
As the juices escape from the meat, they
run down into the groove containing the
stock to form an aromatic meat stock.
2. Carefully turn the slices from time to time.
3. As soon as the slices are cooked, you
can take them off and eat them.
4. Place chopped vegetables for boiling,
rather than grilling, in the edge of grill
cover 2. These are then cooked gently in
the liquid.
Note: Ensure that there is always
enough liquid in the edge of grill
cover 2. Top up with some prepared
stock if necessary (see “6.4 Tips and
hints” on page 44). The grill cover 2
may be filled with a maximum of 400 ml
of liquid.
6.4 Tips and hints
Grill cover 2
• Where possible, prepare all the
ingredients before the meal, but do not
wash and cut them too early, so as to
keep them fresh.
• Do not place the ingredients too close to
the appliance, as it gives off a lot of heat
and the ingredients are supposed to stay
fresh.
• Cut ingredients to be cooked on grill
cover 2 into thin slices.
• Chopped ingredients should be cut to
roughly the same sizes, so that they cook
in around the same time.
Warning!
Observe the
instruction below when spearing
and turning the ingredients:
– If the ingredients are not properly
speared on the hooks, they may drop
into the hot stock. The hot stock might
then splash, leading to scalds.
Caution! To avoid damage to the
appliance:
– If you are using tongs or other utensils,
ensure that they are made of wood or
heat-resistant plastic if at all possible.
– When using metal cutlery or other
items, avoid damage to the surface
coating in particular.
Edge of grill cover 2
• Pour prepared stock into the edge of grill
cover 2. The grill cover 2 may be filled
with a maximum of 400 ml of liquid.
• Prepare ingredients for cooking in the
edge of grill cover 2 by cutting them to
the appropriate size:
– dice with edges about 2 cm long;
– strips about 1 cm wide;
– slices about 1 cm thick.
How you cut the individual ingredients to
size depends on the ingredient in
question and on your personal taste.
• Use ingredients with short cooking times
where possible. Vegetables like broccoli,
mushrooms or bell peppers are
especially suitable for cooking in the
edge of grill cover 2.
• You can also part-cook vegetables in
advance.
Raclette
• The basic recipe for raclette is a few thin
slices of boiled potato topped with
vegetables, meat or sausage, finished
with a slice of cheese.
