12. Clean the appliance again. Observe the

information in the section entitled
“7. Cleaning” on page 45.

6. Operation

6.1 Preparing the appliance,

switching on and off

1. Select a location which is firm, level and

not flammable. Maintain a distance of
approx. 50 cm from other objects.

2. Move On/Off switch 6 to "0".

This switches the appliance off.

3. Lightly grease raclette pans 1 on the

inside and grill cover 2 on the top. You
can repeat this if required.

Warning! The hooks on grill
cover 2 are very sharp. Be
careful not to injure yourself on
them and use a pastry brush
slightly moistened with edible
oil.

4. Pour a little stock into the edge of grill

cover 2 (see “6.4 Tips and hints” on
page 44). The grill cover 2 may be filled
with a maximum of 400 ml of liquid.

5. Insert the mains plug into a suitable wall

socket which complies with the technical
data.

6. Move On/Off switch 6 to "

".

The indicator in On/Off switch 6 now
comes on and the appliance heats up.

7. Allow the appliance to heat up for

around 10 minutes.

The appliance is now ready to use.
8. Move On/Off switch 6 to "0" to switch

off the appliance.

9. Remove the plug from the wall socket

after use. This is the only way to ensure
that the appliance is completely de-
energized.

6.2 Preparing the raclette

1. Fill raclette pans 1 with your chosen

ingredients.
Caution! Do not overfill raclette
pans 1, otherwise the ingredients might
get too close to heating element 4 and
burn.

2. Put raclette pans 1 in the positions in the

appliance provided for this purpose 5.

3. Remove raclette pans 1 from the

appliance as soon as the ingredients are
cooked.

4. Slide the contents of raclette pans 1

onto a plate using the wooden spatula
and enjoy.
Note: As raclette pans 1 have a non-
stick coating, they do not need to be re-
greased before each new portion.

6.3 Grilling and cooking with the grill

cover

A wide variety of foods such as meat, fruit
and vegetables can be grilled and cooked
using grill cover 2.
