J Replace defective bulbs with new ones immediate-
ly, otherwise damage to the product may occur.
J Always use 230 V ~ energy-saving lamps with
E 14 fittings and a maximum rated output of
9 watts.
J Fit the light in such a way to ensure it is protected
from damp and dirt.

The tools and materials mentioned are not included
in the delivery. The details and values given are
non-binding and for guidance only. The nature of
the material depends on the individual circumstances
on site.
– Pencil / Marking tool
– Voltage tester
– Screwdriver
– Electric drill
– Drill bit
– Ladder
– Hammer
Q Before installation
Important: the electrical connection must be made
by a qualified electrician or a person authorised
to perform electrical installations. This person must
be familiar with the properties of the light and all
connection regulations.
J Before installation, please familiarise yourself
with the instructions and illustrations in this
operating manual and with the light itself.
J Please regard the security zones for electrical
compnents in a bathroom and let the articles only
be mounted by a qualified electrician or a person
authorised to perform electrical installations.
J Make sure before installation that there is no
voltage on the line you will be connecting the
light to. To do this, remove the fuse or switch off
the circuit breaker in the fuse box (0 position).
J Check that there is no voltage using a voltage
tester.
Q Installation
Q Wall and ceiling mounting
Note: you will need an electric drill to install the light.
m CaUTION! rISK OF INJUrY! Please read
the operating instructions for your drill.
1. Remove the glass dome 5 from the light
body 1 . To do this pull the clips 6 off the
light body 1 , after first compressing the
clips carefully together.
2. Hold the light body 1 on to the ceiling or the
wall and mark the positions where the mounting
holes are to be drilled.
m CaUTION! Ensure that you do not damage
any electricity cables in the ceiling or the wall.
3. Now drill the mounting holes.
4. Insert the dowels
9 into the drilled holes. If
necessary use a hammer to make this easier.
5. Push the mains connecting cable through the
hole in the light body 1 and fix the lamp with
the screws with washers 3 into the dowels 9 .
6. Now connect the mains connection cable to
the terminal block 2 .
Note: Ensure that each wire of the mains
connection cable is correctly connected:
Live wire, black / brown = symbol L,
Neutral wire, blue = symbol N,
Protective earth wire, green-yellow = symbol .
7. Screw the bulbs 7 clockwise into the sockets
8 and check that the bulbs 7 are correctly
seated.
Note: Use a clean fluff-free cloth when you
are inserting the bulbs
7 .
8. Mount the glass dome 5 back on to the light
body 1 . To do this place the glass dome 5
back on to the light body 1 . Then insert the
clips 6 into the associated openings in the
gasket 4 on the light body 1 .
Note: Make sure that the gasket 4 of the
glass dome 5 is seated correctly.
