Safety instructions
Before first using this device please read
the following instructions carefully and take
note of the safety warnings, even if you are
familiar with using electronic devices.
Please keep this manual safe for future
reference. Please ensure that, if you resell
or pass on this device, you also include
these instructions.
Electrical devices do not belong in
children's hands. Never allow children
to use electrical devices
unsupervised. Children cannot always
recognise possible hazards. Batteries
and small parts may cause choking
resulting in death or serious injury.
Keep packaging away from children
as it is a suffocation risk.
If you notice any smoke, unusual
noises or strange smells, switch off
the device immediately and remove
the plug from the wall outlet. Do not
inhale any smoke originating from a
device fire. In these cases the device
should no longer be used and should
be inspected by authorized service
personnel. If you have nonetheless
inhaled smoke, consult a physician.
Breathing in smoke can be harmful.
Ensure that you have at least one
other lamp available. The fluorescent
tube should not be your only source of
light so that there are other sources of
light available to fall back on in
dangerous situations.
Do not damage the housing or the
mains cable. Never replace a faulty
cable; instead take the light out of
service. When the housing or cable is
damaged, you are in danger of
receiving a life-threatening electric
shock.
