Use the voltage tester to verify the de-energised
status.
Start-up
Mounting the light
Carefully turn the glass brackets 2 outward.
Carefully remove the glass shade 9 .
Hold the connection housing 3 against the
ceiling and mark the drill holes using the holes
in the connection housing
3 intended for the
screws 6 .
Drill the holes. Ensure that you do not damage
the supply line.
Insert the rawlplugs 1 in the drilled holes.
If necessary, use a hammer to do so.
Mount the light to the ceiling with screws 6 .
Slide the fibre glass hoses 7 over the power
lead (external).
Connect the power lead (external) 5 to the
socket 4 .
Note: Ensure that each wire of the mains con-
nection cable (external) is properly connected
in the correct place: live wire, black or brown =
symbol L, neutral wire, blue = symbol N, pro-
tective earth wire, green-yellow = symbol .
Use a clean, lint-free cloth to insert a lamp 8 .
Screw the lamp 8 (E27 max. 40 W) clockwise
into the socket 4 .
Secure the glass shade 9 with the shade
brackets 2 .
Insert the glass shade 9 in the glass brackets
2 , sliding them slightly outward, and secure
the glass shade 9 .
Your light is now ready to use.
Replacing lamps
CAUTION! RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK!
To replace the bulb, first disconnect the light from
the mains circuit. To do so, remove the fuse or switch
off the circuit breaker in the fuse box (0 position).
CAUTION! Allow the light to cool completely. Only
replace the lamp after it has completely cooled off.
Note: use a clean, lint-free cloth when to replace
a lamp.
Turn the glass brackets 2 on the connecting
housing 3 sides outward.
Carefully remove the glass shade 9 .
Turn the defective bulb 8 carefully anticlock-
wise out of the bulb socket 4 .
Screw a new lamp 8 clockwise into the socket
4 . Check for correct seating.
Secure the glass shade 9 with the glass
bracket 2 .
Slide the glass shade 9 into the glass bracket
2 , sliding these slightly outward, and secure
the glass shade.
Note: only use 220–240 V∼ lamps with max.
40 Watt and E27-Sockel.
Maintenance and Cleaning
CAUTION! RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK!
Disconnect the light from the mains circuit before
cleaning. To do so, remove the fuse or switch off
the circuit breaker in the fuse box (0 position).
Do not use solvents, benzene or similar substances.
They could damage the light.
Allow the light to cool completely.
CAUTION! RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK!
For electrical safety, never clean the light with
water or other fluids, or immerse it in water.
Only use a dry, lint-free cloth for cleaning.
Removal
CAUTION! RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK!
Verify the electrical cable you will be discon-
necting the light from is not live before starting
the removal process. To do so, remove the fuse
or switch off the circuit breaker in the fuse box
0 position. To check the power is off, use a
circuit tester.
