Malfunction causes and remedies
The following table will help with localizing and remedying minor malfunctions:
Defect Possible cause Solution
The appliance cannot
be switched on
The connecting cable 4
is not inserted into a
mains power socket.
Insert the connecting cable 4 into
a mains power socket.
A fuse has blown. Check the fuses.
Appliance safety switch
has activated.
Remove all dust and hair from the air
intake and air outlet openings (2,
6). Let the appliance cool for several
minutes and then switch it back on.
No hot air
Blower level switch 5 or
heater of the appliance
is defective.
In this case, contact Customer Services.
Air fl ow too low
false setting of the
blower level switch 5
Select level 2.
Air intake opening
2 and/or air outlet
openings 6 are dirty/
clogged.
Clean the air intake and air outlet
openings (2, 6).
Blower level switch 5 or
fan defective
In this case, contact Customer Services.
