7 OPERATION
Before connecting to the mains supply, always check the switch is in off
position!
7.1
Starting/stopping your lawnmower
Do not start the mower if it is standing in long grass.
Press and hold in the safety button located on the switch box.
Hold in the safety button and lift the switch lever upwards towards the handle and hold in
this position.
The motor will now start.
Release the safety button.
To stop the mower simply, release the switch lever and the mower will stop.
ATTENTION : After switching off ,the cutting blade will go on turning for a
few seconds, make sure the blade has come to a complete stilstand.
CAUTION:
Do not rapidly switch off and on.
7.2
Adjusting the cutting height
! Make sure your machine is switched off and the knife has come to a
complete stilstand before adjusting the cutting height.
ATTENTION: The blades continue to rotate for a few seconds after the
machine is switched off, a rotating blade can cause injury.
Your lawnmower is equipped with a central height adjustment system, offering:
6 height settings: 20mm, 30mm, 40mm, 50mm, 60mm and 70mm
Select the cutting height by locking the lever in the disired position.
From rear to front, the adjustable height is as described above range
Remark : For the first cut of the season,a high cutting position should be selected.
7.3
Mowing / Cutting the grass
Select a cutting height to suit the actual height of the grass. If necessary, mow the same
section several times so that no more than 4cm is removed at a go.
Place the lawnmower on the edge of the lawn, close to the
power supply. Work away from that point.
Alter the position of the cable at each turn, move it to the
already cut side.
When mowing, do not make the motor labor to hard.
Otherwise the rotating speed drops to much, (you will hear
that the motor sound changes).,When this occurs stop
mowing and adapt the mowing height to a higher position to
avoid damage to your mower.
NOTE: The motor is protected by a safety overload switch
